The layout of the magazine complex is based around a U-shaped main corridor, the center portion of which widens into a shell room. The shells were stored on raised concrete shelves to either side of the corridor. Powder charges were stored in a single large room next to the shell room. Other facilities included a small power room, a store room and a latrine.
